Grand finals are brutal games, especially if you're on the losing side, and unfortunately we found ourselves there on Saturday after our much anticipated final against Footscray. 

Coming off an amazing win against Waverley last week the team were confident of continuing their winning way. We had come up with a saying at the beginning of their final's campaign "Together, every step of the way" summing up perfectly the great team spirit that surround the team.

On Saturday we saw the culmination of all the hard work that has been put in since the middle of February. But this journey started in 2021 when the sudden shutdown of the season saw us yield a promotion to pennant C but no accreditation for holding the top spot for the entire shortened season. Throughout a 3 year span this team has lost a combined 8 games, yet achieving the ultimate goal had somehow eluded us.
