Episode 22 - Meg Lanning

Episode 22- Meg Lanning

Back in March this year, on International Women's Day, over eight-six thousand fans packed the MCG to witness Meg Lanning's Australian team defeat India to win their fifth world cup title. Only the third cricket captain, male or female, to secure a World Cup on home soil; Meg has become one of the biggest names in world sport and sits amongst our most successful athletes of all time.

This week we're excited to introduce a new hosting team. Sarah Forsyth is joined by her sister Steph for a chat with their great friend Meg. We'll hear about the drama of that World Cup tournament including the rain in Sydney and Katy Perry on stage in Melbourne. We'll also hear about Meg's early career where she picked up a premiership with Hawthorn Hockey Club, juggling injuries and commitments as a professional sportsperson and learn about a packed forthcoming schedule including, for the first time, cricket at the Commonwealth Games.
